Message traction is decreased as well under straight-line braking and acceleration with excessive negative camber. Keep in mind that shortening the upper arm for negative camber also increases the rate at which the wheels change camber when the springs compress/extend around a turn.
Everyone is going to have different opinions on what settings they like at the track because of the different cocktail of suspension components installed on the car and 2+2 vs 2+0, & tire size.
